How to fix a toner error on a brother printer ?

I reinstalled a new toner which is a TN-550 on a brother printer that is capable of fax, copy, and scan. The screen is saying toner error but i tried everything i could think of to fix it. Anyone had this problem and know how to fix it?

1. Have you tried switching in off & back on again.
